I'm an author from the Northern Beaches of Sydney, Australia, where I've lived, loved, laughed and played forever it seems. Born in London of Australian and Irish heritage, my father was a psychiatrist, and mother, a nurse. Sydney has been my lifetime home.
I've worked as an urban and social planner for more than thirty-five years. A Director in an international consulting practice, my responsibilities stretched across half the globe. Living a varied life, interspersed with extensive travels around this great country and the world.
I currently volunteer with my local library after many years as a volunteer life saver. So you can see some of my book reviews on Goodreads.
As an avid observer, my experiences have fostered a deep appreciation of the multilayered nature of the humanity that inhabits our globe. From the remote mountains of Nepal to the bustle of Times Square, people and the places they inhabit, these remain an inspiration.
I approach fiction it with an eye to crafting compelling stories that grapple with the many environmental and social issues that face us today. This ‘Brave New World’ we all face.
Writing both long and short form, my stories explore numerous themes including the human condition, climate change and the environment, as well as fact-based fiction. I also write the occasional good yarn.
